Congratulations, wise authors of a real live book!

I have a long flight tonight – previously my only plan was to get drunk on free plane booze – but now I am going to read this too. Are they really not publishing this book in the UK? Maybe I will leave it strategically lying around London and spread the word!

Also it makes me sad that some people want this book but can’t afford it – I’m happy to send my copy on to you if you want :)

Seriously, it honors me more than I can say to hear that people are shuffling around their budgets, trying to fit this book in somewhere. (Alyce upthread, too -- thank you so much.) The good news: they had your book at my local Borders!
The bad news: it was shelved in the diet book section. Wah wah wah. I told the customer service lady that that probably wasn’t the best place for it, and she said she would pass it on.

The better news: my mom and I went to go see my brother do standup tonight. While there, I saw a friend who read Fat!So? a few months ago after my recommendation, so I showed her your book and told her to get herself a copy. My mom saw it, said it looked interesting, and asked if she could borrow it. She’s been dieting her whole life, and comes from a long line of body haters. I’ve been slowly introducing some fat positivity to her, and this might be enough to convert her to Fat Satan!

Congratulations Kate! What an awesome accomplishment. I’ve added the book to my Amazon wish list and will be purchasing it very soon. I need to read it, as I’ve been backsliding into dieting again recently. The foray into regular workouts prompted by winter- and depression-fueled weight gain was good in that I found an exercise routine that I genuinely enjoy and that makes me feel good when I’m done, but the dieting has been kinda hellish. Thanks for keeping up this blog, ladies. It means a lot to have y’all here to help snap me out of the body-hate.
