Also, if you never missed an episode of Law and Order, like my mom (she watches it on Jet Blue when we travel, the woman is obsessed) you will also know him as one of the detectives on both the original series and L&O SVU.

He also co-owns one of my favorite clubs in town here in Manhattan, the Cutting Room.

I’m glad to see Battlestar Galactica nominated in a couple of places, but the actors would have deserved more credit. I would have expected to see at least James Callis and Tricia Helfer there.

Have you heard their new album The Else? I quite enjoy it. It has a song that’s going to be used in the 3D, Henry Selick directed, claymation movie adaptation of the totally awesome book Coraline by the totally awesome writer Neil Gaiman, a movie for which TMBG is doing a large amount of the music.

Speaking of They Might Be Giants and the Emmys and how I’m glad that Pushing Daisies got nominated and double glad that Kristen Chenoweth was nominated for her role in Pushing Daisies…

My friend introduced me to Pushing Daisies because this scene reminded her of me.

Well, we met because we were in the same logic class, but we ended up friends because of TMBG. Since pretty much everyone else at nerd camp liked them too, what was really remarkable was that we thought it was in any way remarkable that we both liked them.

I recently started listening to them again and you know what? Still good.
