… is awesome.

I’ll probably write a review of it for Blogcritics today, but right now, let me just say that even if you’ve read The Obesity Myth and Fat Politics and Big Fat Lies and The Obesity Epidemic, and a dozen other books like that, and you have Junkfood Science in your feed reader, and you don’t think you have anything left to learn about how the “dangers” of fat are wildly overblown, and data is grossly manipulated when it threatens to reveal that? You still need to read Rethinking Thin. And you still have a lot to learn.

Go buy it now. Or I’ll start making Rupert Holmes jokes again. Nobody wants that.

I want the book. But Powell’s, inexplicably, doesn’t have it. According to their site they’ve got one at the little suburban Powell’s, but not at the big one. I’d rather give them my business than red Amazon, but they may be giving me no choice. (Grrrr.)

It *is* awesome. I tore through it in one day and have picked it up again and again to re-read certain sections.

I feel like I should be giving copies out to every person I know who is dieting or thinks they should be dieting. Fantastic stuff.

  3. I loved the book. I haven’t done it but I will be buying several copies to give away to friends and loved ones.

Meowzer, call Powell’s and make them give it to you. Alternatively, perhaps, call B&N or Borders and make them hold it for you? Or email Ms. Kolata and ask her where you can get it. Authors usually know if you make it known that you want to buy their book.

Actually, Powell’s does have it now. I checked their Web site today; they must have just gotten more copies.
