Out of Office
Hey, y’all. I’m not sure how much I’ll be posting here in the next few days, because I’m going to be at the Causes in Common Meeting tomorrow and the SisterSong conference Thursday through Sunday, live blogging them for Feministing. This all came about rather suddenly, as Feministing’s Jen, who was supposed to be blogging these conferences, had to bow out at the last minute due to injury. Best wishes to her for a speedy recovery, and a zillion thanks to Melissa for recommending me for the gig, Jessica for offering it, and Amanda for facilitating it.
I’m approaching this with some trepidation. I want to do justice to the issues being raised at both conferences, but of course I’m privileged out the wazoo and can’t necessarily remove that filter. All I can say is, I’ll do my best and trust the commenters both here and at Feministing to set me straight if I fuck it up.
Now I have to go find my business cards before I get up at 6 a.m. and drive to a hotel out by the airport. Woo hoo!
