Body Impolitic is taking nominations for the Stupidest Fat Comment to appear in the press.
They have a few lovely suggestions so far, but I’m not sure if they’re going to top British lawyer Sheilagh Davies’s recent defense of three young teenaged boys accused of gang-raping two 16-year-old girls, one of whom was not skinny:
She was 12st 6lb – not quite the swan she may turn into. She may well have been glad of the attention.

And you know, I really, really want to be a big person (ha!) and not stoop to trashing another woman’s looks, especially in this context, but I have to say I’m a little in love with Metro.co.uk for using that terrible picture of Davies. It seems just right that she looks like uh, not quite the swan she may once have been.
Aaanyway. You’ve got until the end of the month to submit stupid fat comments.
12 stone 6 lbs … that would be 174 lbs.
Yep. Which is about exactly what I weigh, for the record.
And me. I’m 16. Damn.
And what I weigh. I turn eighteen in a week. (I am tall, though.)
